Question #1

I've decided to come up with some questions which I shall discuss with myself on this blog. Just random everyday thoughts that pop into my head. Todays question, the first ever, is as follows: Who is stronger, a football player, or a cook. I say a cook. A cook has to lift heavy pots and pans, boxes of potatoes and carrots, and lift platters of meat out to hungry diners everyday. Not to mention holding a pot in one hand filed with sauce and poring it out while the other hand is busy pulling a huge pan of cookies out of the oven! All a football player has to do is tackle some other football player. What kind of a workout is that?! If I wanted to get a good workout, I would cook. Not only would I get my heart rate up, I might have had something nice and tasty to munch on afterwards. As you can see, the past two days have been uneventful. If I'm contemplating how a football player gets less of a work out than a cook, then you know I've had way too much time on my hands. So, anyone hungary?? Have a Happy Easter.

P.S. Feel free to comment on this question and give your opinion. I shall announce the winner (cook or football player) of the 'debate' on my next post.

Snowmobiling

For those of you who don't know what this activity involves, snowmobiling is where you drive around on a snowmobile (hence the name snowmobiling). Another way to look at it is a motorized sled. So, today, at 10:00, My uncle and I drove out to Salt Creek Summit with two snowmobiles. We meet up with our friends, John and Becky. All four of us zipped around on the hill side for our test run.  My snowmobile made a putting sound, so we all dashed back to the parking lot, where we fixed everything up. Then we took of and zoomed around. Up the hillside we went, and back down.

All ready to go
My uncle and I
vroom vroom!!

 At 1:00, we packed up and headed home. When I arrived, I found that Madre and Oma had made Banana Cream pie, and Lemon Meringue pie.

lazy day

Today was another lazy day. I went to my Oma's writing analysis class. I learned a little about how to interpret someone's personality. Then I went and feed some horses with my uncle and his friend, John. I forgot to take my camera, otherwise there would be some photos. For dinner I had lamb and mashed potatoes. yummy!! I forgot to brag about my finished squid!! Here are some photos:

I still haven't figured out a good name.

First Half of Spring Break

So Spring break has started. Finally. On Sunday my uncle took me squirrel hunting. I shot quite a few squirrels, but your not supposed to retrieve them. Killing the squirrels helps the birds of prey to find food. Yesterday we lounged around and played cards. "Madre" also finished a vest for me. Today we've done some spring cleaning, and we  were able to give away some of my old toys. We also had lunch with some of Oma's friends.
Here is something funny to counterbalance your sorrows.

This looks like something I would do.

This will always work.

Who needs an instruction manual, when we have duck tape!

This week

This week has been so busy. I finally get to take a break. Spring Break. On Thursday my 'Madre' planing to only take her friend to a curling lesson, dragged me alone as well. We had so much fun with that experience. You can read her blog for more detail. Today after I got picked up from school, and we headed off to our annual vacation and Oma and Papa's (my grandparents) in Joseph (Eastern Oregon). At one of our pit stops we found our car had a face!

He has a mustache!!
We are now save at their house. I now get to spend a week in this peaceful country.

PIE

Yesterday was pi day, 3.14. So my mom and I celebrated by going to Banning's, and had a slice of pie each for dinner. It was yummy! I had coconut cream, and 'Madre' had cherry.

Me, hungry for pie.

Also we went to Powell's Book Store. I got a new book, boneshaker, a new book to add to my Calvin and Hobbes collection, and a book bag  made of bamboo. It has a squid on the front eating a diver with chop sticks. What more could you ask for? Thank you, 'Madre'!

Sleep over part 2

Last night was awesome. I had my two friends, Issy, from Germany, and Eddy(I have given their nicknames, so keep in mind the it was an all girl sleepover). Ed and I have been going to school longer than Issy and I, But it was so fun getting in touch with both of them. So, first we made bleach pen t-shirts.
Issy with her Rainbow dash shirt
Eddy with her fly shirt.
Even Izzy's aunt joined in with a Hawaii or Bust shirt!
My t-shirt said Beware! Whovian. Not too creative, but I couldn't think of anything to draw, and I already had too many squid t-shirts. Next we went to the pool. That was fun!

Me, swagin' it out at the pool
After we grabbed some snacks, we retreated back to the room. Soon after a game of life, we tucked in for some movies. but not before.................
I don't have any good photo's of the pillow fort. Sorry!
We watched Legend of the Millennium Dragon, a first for all of us, Howl's Moving Castle, a favorite of all, and Get Smart, a comedy for all! I stayed awake for all of them, but the other two dozed on and off.

A yummy breakfast!
Waiting in the Elevator
Later today I went to surprise Issy again at Bubble Bubble (a bubble tea shop). I just couldn't stay away. haha. We both had a mango bubble tea, and chatted again. I had such a good time. Thanks Issy. Thanks Eddy. Thanks Sylvia. Thanks 'Madre' for planing it. Thanks.

Sleep over part 1

Tonight Im having a sleepover with a friend of mine from Germany. She is on an exchange to Alaska, and this weekend her aunt from Seattle is bringing her here to Portland to visit old friends. My wonderful 'Madre' has agreed to let her sleep over in a hotel room with me, and we also invited some other of her old friends as well. We know for sure that 3 will be there. The plan involves games, pool time, and movies as well as other fun activities. I'm so excited to spend this evening with my friend  from Germany.

A relaxing Thursday

Aaaahhhhh. What a way to relax. While I was busy working at school, 'Madre' had made some lemon curd. It tasted so good. Not so sweet your mouth can't handle it, but not so sour that your face turns green and your ears steam. It tasted like lemon, but not overly sweet. Just right. Here's a picutre of dessert;

This is a little blurry. Sorry. The white stuff is a cut
 up coconut macaroon.

The orange stuff in the back is mango.
This was quite tasty. The mango was a little bland, but other than that I loved it. I also had a dentist appointment after school. That went fine. My teeth don't hurt (yet). It's almost Friday. I'm excited for the upcoming 3 day weekend!! But I will tell you more about that in my next blog!

Now the bad luck comes

I got back my Biology test on Monday. You can guess by the tittle of this post that it was not a good score. It's not like I didn't study. It's not like I wanted a bad grade. All I want is to take one test and get 100% on it. But of course that is never going to happen to me. Here are some pictures to cheer you up after that depressing post.
Now I know what to do for my birthday. haha. Just kidding.

Anyone else agree? Sorry if this is offensive to Facebook users, but I'm a goole+ user.

Thought this looked ineffective.

haha

So much good luck!

]So first things first. Last night was the closing ceremonies of swim team. I got three certificats of appreciation, a most dedicated award, and I lettered! Here's the proof;

For those who don't know, last year I went a computer science camp called G2CS. This camp will let past campers apply for an internship. I applied, and I am an intern. Here's the proof of that;

Who thinks I should try the lottery?? haha

Thanks Izzie for this gif.
