4 Day Weekend

I had a four day weekend, starting with Friday, and ending with Monday. It was nice, to have all those free days. In fact I even did homework (what a shock)! I did a little bit of drawing, to satisfy my craving.  Now I won't have to draw anything for the next 3 years or so.

The Magic is in the Hole

Some of you may know that the title of this blog is as Voodoo Donuts catch phrase.  I will come back to what Voodoo Donuts is in a minute. Today I went on a field trip to Mercy Crop, a nonprofit, humanitarian, secular organization that helps provide countries the basic needs. Today we focused on education for women. It was interesting. After we learned about Ethiopia, we split into groups of 5 and were each given a scenario to solve. After that we had lunch and went back to the school. Before our field trip, our teacher told us that the person who participated the best would get a 1/2 dozen donuts, from her. Lots of kids were trying to participate the most, sucking up to her. I just participated like I normally do in class. The end of the trip came and the teacher consulted with the lady running the thing about who was the best participator. After taking role, I was announced the winner. I was surprised, but pleased. In fact the teacher was so impressed with our group, she gave everyone in our group who wanted one, a free donut. I went into the shop with her, picked out 2 of my 6 donuts, everyone else got to fight over the other dozen and a half and she took some home. These were no ordinary donuts thought, these are Voodoo Donuts! The legendary donuts that people from all over come for(honestly, the only thing that attracts people to them is because they are unusual)!
Here is my booty;
tasty!! (from top left to bottom right) Oreo vanilla,
tangerine, coconut,  rice crisps,  peanuts and chocolate,
and the remains of a butter milk bar.

This is a pink box that they came in.

Dragon Boat Practice

On Thursday I went to a water polo meeting and skipped my DBP. Sham on me! haha. Then on Friday I skipped Splash to help out at my old middle schools play, The Little Mermaid. Today was DBP which I did attend. I tried flag catching, which is where you lay out in the head of the dragon and catch a flag the signals the end of the race. I'm small, but not perfect for the job. The coach likes that I'm small, I'm just not tall enough for their standards. If i don't grow another few inches, "Madre" will put me on the rack.  My coach really thinks that I'm going to be the one to do it, as long as I'm comfortable up there. Well, it sounds like its going to happen. I like flag cathching. It it so much fun!!  It is hard to explain, but this image does it.

Of course I don't sit up there like that, but that picture helps explain the feeling. I'm Super exicted for race weekend!!!!!

Prom

My first Prom. What an experience. I had so much fun jumping around and going crazy with my friends. Yesterday we searched through Nostrums rack to find the right dress, and couldn't decided on two. I eventually got a third opinion and chose a lacy red one. After taking pictures in my yard, it was off to Prom. It was hollywood themed, but the only thing that was hollywood was the 'red carpet', that was made out of red paper. Most of the music was crapy, except for the occasional Michael jackson and YMCA. hahaha. I still had a blast, and I know Lake did too.
My boyfriend, Lake, and I.

My 'Madre'

My 'Padre'

I had so much fun. Thank you. Happy Mothers day!!

Teenage Dilemma: Trouble With Blisters

Yesterday, I made the mistake in deciding to wear my chacos, sandals, when I went on my 30 minute walk. This was the first time in what seems like five years since I last wore them. They seemed so harmless, so innocent. So I gave them a try.  Guess what I have? Trouble with blisters. On the arc of my foot, I have a little blister, seemingly harmless, that hurts like a mother duck. Then, on the top of my oldest, left toe, I have a popped one, that every time I think about it, I am rolling on the ground in pain(a little exaggerated). I now remember why I haven't worn those shoes in five years. I get blisters every time! grrrrrrrrrr! Now it is time for them to go back into the closet for another 5 years! Muhahahahaha!

Dr Who??????

For those of you who have watched Doctor Who please ignore this post. For those of you who haven't, shame on you. haha. Doctor who is a British character who we (Whovians) all want to be real. A Whovian is a fan of Doctor Who. Now, the Doctor's name is Doctor, not Doctor Who. 'It's just the Doctor'(The 9th Doctor). Back in the 1963, the fist season came out. Doctor Who ran for a while but soon went a away. Then in 2005, the BBC started making episodes. Doctor who became popular very quickly. So what does the Doctor do? The doctor travels in a blue british police box he calls the TARDIS. It stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. The Doctor travels through time to anywhere he desires and helps save Earth from aliens and destruction. He almost always has a side kick or two. So what is all of this '9th doctor and 4th doctor' stuff? Well, The doctor regenerates(changes his body, shape shifts, ect.) himself from time to time. They changes actors. Here are some photos of them:
The 1st Doctor, performed by
William Hartnell.

 Patrick Troughton

Now that I have given you a bases of who the Doctor is, and one of my favorite TV shows, I expect no more questions from anyone! Is that clear? JK. Here is a little something to entertain your more nerdy impulses, or to just outrage all. It has a reference to several nerdy things.

Sherlock, and Doctor Who. I'm not sure where the gears are from.
Fun Fact!!!!
The Doctor has two hearts.
