Ending the season with a bang!

This year was my second year of water polo. This year was amazing, and I loved every second of it. This year, the sophomore girls consisted of five girls; one new, and four returnees. I am proud to say that I lettered for the second time in water polo. I am also honored to say that I made second all metro team, meaning that I am in the top 14 players in my district(the metro district). Another sophomore made third all metro team. I was so proud when I found out that I had made second all metro team. It is quite an accomplishment. I also got voted as most inspirational by my team mates. I got a plaque for that. Our assistant coach, Pat, gave us a big speech about half way throughout the season about being athletes, and not participates, and what it means to be an athletes. So, at the end of the year, he gave us a 'Pat Ribbon'. It says; 'Awarded to athletes (only) that have experienced what it means to go a little further, a little faster, a little harder, a little further than they have ever gone before or ever thought they could go.'

This Past Month

So. I know its been a while, and I'm sorry. I have been busy with homework, water polo, homework, Exchange application, more water polo, and did I mention homework? I can finally breath.
Over the weekend we were at the water polo District tournament. We played against Sam Barlow. We went into the game knowing we were gonna lose, but we played our hardest. We had them tied at half time. 4 to 4. But they eventually pulled ahead to 13-4 in the end. I am so proud of my team, and rather sad that I will be missing next season.

Tournaments

Last weekend I had a tournament in Park Rose. We had the first game of the tournament, witch we lost to Park Rose. The next day we had three games; Newberg, Chehalam, and Reynolds. We lost to both Newberg and Reynolds, but won the game agains Chehalam. Between games, we went to Ikea for lunch and to Target to get footie pajamas. If we had lost all of our games, We would have been there until 8:00pm. But because we won one game, we left at 4:00. YAY!!! We also won our first metro game against Southridge. We did loose to Lincoln though. Two losses, one win. This weekend we also had a tournament. We had two games on Friday, one against West Albany, and one against Southridge.        We one the games against south ridge, and lost to West Albany. On Saturday, we lost both games against Summit and Lincoln. I made a goal in the one against Lincoln though. One of the two goals. Some of the parents we worried about me because they thought I was drowning. I was just tying to get the other team fouled instead. I had fun over the weekend. I was much happier to stay in the nice warm pool than be out in the cold rain. We also had a power outage last night at around 4:00. I had a relaxing evening.

Games

We had another water polo game on Thursday against Lake Oswego. We didn't win the game, but we did win the second half. the final score 6-10. It was a good game, and the team played good defense at the end of the game. I made a goal in the varsity, and two in the JV. THe boys have a tournament this weekend in Park Rose, so we didn't have practice on Friday.  This weekend has been filled with homework and laziness. On Monday I have a field trip to the beach, an unacademic event. Then it's back to water polo. YAY!!!

First Week

So school started again. That means work. No more relaxation. But school also means water polo, my favorite. I am still trying to get used to school, catching up on all the scuttlebutt that went on over summer that I missed. Nothing important. But it was a good weekend well spend. On Friday after water polo practice, the boys deep end goalie(Sully) and I sold seat cousins, pom-poms, and lanyards at the Varsity football game. At the start it was only the two of us, but soon we were joined by two other team mates. We sold until the end of half time. I then met up with a good friend of mine who plays in the high school marching band. On Saturday, I went to the Beaverton Parade to again see my band friend. Sully was also there, so I sat with his family and watched the parade go by. The rest of the weekend has been me working on homework. Game scores of this week: Tigard Varsity Girls vs. Beaverton Varsity Girls: 21-6. Reynolds Varsity Girls vs. Beaverton Varsity Girls: 20-2. So far the Beaverton Varsity Girls team is defeated. 0 wins 2 losses. On Monday, we play Newberg. Wish us luck!!!

Glider

Yesterday my family and I headed out to on a surprise trip. I had no clue where we were going, only that it was toward Forest Grove. Soon we made a turn off and entered a drive way to find these:

My dad was going to let me fly a glider(the plane on the top)!!!!!! Bob was the person who was actually flying the plane, but I was in the front seat. The view was amazing!!

Afterwards we went and had breakfast. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
